About Jog Falls
Jog Falls is formed by the Sharavathi River dropping from the plateau into a deep gorge. The four major cascades are traditionally known as Raja, Rani, Roarer and Rocket. The waterfall is most dramatic during and after the monsoon, although heavy rain can affect viewpoints, roads and access. It works well as an extended day trip from Honnavar or as part of a Sharavathi Valley route.
